Headlight adjusting motor

My passenger side beam adjusting motor has been nackered for ages. Got myself a second hand one from ebay for £2.50 smileys/smiley17.gif I have tried removing my existing one, I have twisted it which unlocks it but I can't seem to remove it. I have tried pulling it out with quite some force but I am afraid of breaking something. Does it just clip in? or do I have to take the headlight out completely in order to replace it?

its easyer to take the headlight out and then you need to pull very hard to get it out and even harder to push it back in.
