If you mean the carpet that I think you do then it's a matter of a few bolts under the dash and around near the doors and clips under the rubber seals. Oh yeah and of course the seats and the middle plastic panel that the gear sits onto. I think that's all it's a very easy job just might take a little time 1st time around looking for the bits and bobs to take off.
Best bet is to look at scrappys and the likes is the cheapest I would of thought.

I have no idea really but you can be sure it wont be cheap from them, sorry I can't be of any more help.
Oh yeah Sean06 was stripping a Saxo I can ask for you next time I see him or just PM him if interested in it, it's second hand and I can't remember the condition of it when we were stripping it but yeah let me know.

front seats out
the bit around gearstick out
remove the door seals well the bottom bits
slice the carpet behind dash neat as possible
few plus in footweels
pull out
dunno if citroen will sell them if they do expect big bills

aye pretty simple to do, think it took me and chris about an hour or so to take out the seats, undo everything and put the new one in.

is that using a carpet mould? or just using carpet from places like wilco or halfords? im going to do this myself when i get my new seats. I know about taking everything out its just if i need a moulded carpet or could i use standard and mould myself?

I done this in my old fiesta, ordered it from a car mag, it was a piss easy job to do to be honest as it was moulded into the shape of the car.

how much did the mould cost you? and any ideas if they had a website or something?

You have a white VTS, get a red carpet from a 106 Rallye.
Easy enough to do if you have a few hours and the tools.
Here's mine:

where did ya get ya carpet mate?? i have just bought all black gti leather seats do ya think it would suit a red carpet if not wich couler

I bought mine on eBay. Paid about £40 from memory.
I think it might be a bit ott with the classy gti interior though. Black carpet would look sweet.
What you could do if you have a few days is remove all your seats and spray your carpet black. Saves removing it. All you do is spray a light coat of paint, leave it to dry then rub off any excess with a dry cloth. Repeat about 5/6 times and you'll have a nice black carpet!
Cost = £5 in spray paint and a dry sunny day as apposed to a new carpet and grazed knuckles!

i was thinking black mate. nar not keen on spraying id rather have a new carpet as myne is fucked and looks warn did you buy a moulded carpet??
craig180
28th March 2007, 22:06
Yeah the carpet was a moulded one from a 106 rallye (same floorpan)
Some of the late saxos had black carpets but I reckon you'd be looking at £140+ from Citroen.
Best to keep an eye out on ebay or scrappys

Think it will be 2001-2002.
Only reason I say that is Mark51 has a black carpet in his furio and his is a 51 plate

you can just use carpet dye if you want black? and get some vinyl dye for the plastic bit near your feet. Mine is 2001 and has a black(ish) carpet. but has a grey footplate. Going to get some vinyl dye for some over things so going to do it silver or something, or you can get plates to go over them. some of the carpet dyes also will do the rubber...

Dont like the red carpet, but that is dead nice!
You should just ring citroen and get a quote for fitting. Willl give you a better
idea then.

just fitted a blue carpet from a 106 noir, not as bright as the rallye one, but gives it a sweet touch, tenner from scrappy, easy job to do, when fitting the new carpet you may need to make holes for the bolts to hold the dash down, as the rallye carpet does not have them :y:

Or do what I did and just lay the carpet over them. Looks a lot neater!
