Does anyone know and could tell me ,gain access to the back of the cig lighter , to wire up some underseat neons , thanks ,if i work out how to give reps , ill send one over

best way is to remove the front console.pretty easy to do only aroud 5(t20)torx screws.take that off and everythings there for you to do what you want.probs make life easier if you take the cd player out and disconnect it first.less stuff in your way.good luck

No as they are TORX screws!

i can use a knife for a flat headed screw :( leave it out

ive got a flat headed screwdriver that actually takes the torx screws out.only because its got a small head on it though.

whilst destroying the head of the torx screw. Always use torx screwdrivers on torx screws and you will minimise the risk of destroying the head or threading them.

Right tools for a good job!

You will prob round them off or something which will cause more problems!

you could reach round the back of the cig lighter and simply push it through!

Mine comes out with little effort but i think most are a lot harder to get out :y:

all i did was lay in on the passenger footwell and disconnect the block from in behind in was well easy... then i mounted the switch in the cigarette holder. proper job!

you can use a flathead screwdriver just be slow with it though and make sure its more or less the right size, but its worth getting a torx set :)

heres were the screws are located on the centre console :y:
