saxo or 106

hi everyone,
ive been trying to buy a car for ages now and it starting to get frustrating, i had my heart pinned on a 106 quicksilver that was sold before i got chance to offer, firstly i really wanted a saxo then changed my mind and wanted a 106,

so now im choosing
ive seen a 106 quicksilver and a saxo vtr for sale and wanted to ask peoples opinions on which one to get, i only plan to have the car until the end of the summer as i want to get a 106 gti for my birthday when insurance will let me have one.

id go vtr as its more power than a quicksilver, i think? isnt the quick silver a 1.4?

rallye/quicksilver or vtr, though 106 can look very nice when modded properly, though by sounds of it...you won't be doing that so rallye or vtr IMO which ever you can get a good deal on

not a great deal of difference between the two looks wise, performance wise go for the vtr over quiksilver

take them both for a test drive and see which you think is best, think about insurance, petrol costs etc

Rallyes are expensive.

id get a i only like the 106 in a rallye or GTi. hate them standard.

same goes for the saxo. only like them with a VT kit on.

I wish id bought a quicksilver.

i'd personally get a vtr over a quiksilver , no real reason why i just would lol :)

Rallyes are group 11 insurance for a 1.6 8 valve. So bit steep really when a vtr is group 7 with basically same power. Quiksilvers are nippy little motors though, and imo look better than a vtr.

insurance is only a bit cheaper on a 106 than a vtr, i dont want a rallye as ive been messed about with cars and the rallyes are hard to get hold of, also i only want a s2 106, and the saxo would be a mk1

if you buy the VTR you won't be dissapointed mate! and if you buy the quicky, you'll wish you bought a VTR!

VTR = more power and better looking too imo!

well i am hoping that as long as ive got the cash i will get the gti at the end of summer, so i dont want to spend alot on the car in the mean time, but if things dont go to plan it has to be soomething that i could live with for around a year

if its only till end of summer which is what 5months tops? why dont you get a standard quicksilver save the money on ins and petty then ur sorted for the gti

its notning to do with the fact iv got a 106 tupps

mine is only a shitty 1.1 spec

o and iv had a saxo ;)

i just think the 106 quciksilver looks the nuts!
