Roll Cage...

Hi

Does anyone have any experience of fitting roll cages? I have a VTS I am preparing for tarmac rallying and I have come across a few stumbling blocks.. I was looking at an OMP 10 point cage as I cant quite stretch to a Safety Devices one. Has anyone fitted one of these to a VTS, and what did you do about the sunroof? Also how much work is it to fit it into the dash?

The sunroof has to be secured against opening, which basically means filling it in.

Easiest way is to remove the original sunroof and weld a plate in. Doesn't look good in any light.

Better way is a new roof skin, which is what I did. Got one off the shelf from Citroen and the body shop removed the old roof before welding the new on and spraying the whole car.

If you are 'Tarmacing' the car, what rear shocks are you using as I have a pair of rear billies with very little use that will be up for sale, as I only go through the trees now. Will have a few more bits soon.

The OMP cage will fit,but I think that one is a through dash fitting model.
