Lads im living in ireland and i think ive found the vts ive been searching for, but in case its a heap of sh*te i want to know this before i go to the expense of crossing the waters. Ive used an AA report before and it seemed to be very thorough and proffesional but ive noticed all you boys use HPi checks over here whatever they are. Could somebody please explain what a HPi check is all about please.
Cheers,

they are just Hundred Point Inspections, so they check a hundred things.
the AA do a HPI and so do alot of comapanies.

I used www.hpi.co.uk (http://www.hpi.co.uk)
From the website:
The HPI Check will confirm the identity of the vehicle you are looking to buy, using over 60 million identities recorded at the DVLA and DVLNI. This allows you to confirm the make, model, derivative (in most cases), door plan, original colour, transmission and engine size. HPI can also confirm how many keeper changes have been recorded - allowing you to spot those "one careful lady owner" lies ahead of time.
Vehicle ID also confirms the true age of the vehicle, in terms of the year it was built and the date it was first registered at DVLA. This helps you assess the plausibility of its mileage, and its true value.
They also send you a nice pack of stuff confirming all the details

no not on a HPi check it tells you all the details and history of the car, you would need to get an AA thingy or similar to that
