fitting coax fronts

hey guys, im a bit confused as to how you get to the front speakers, do you have to pull the door card off, or can i just remove the casing covering the speakers?

why are you fitting coaxials mate are they just a replacement for standards or are you amping them up?? if you are get somponents :y:

easy to get the door card off remove mirror cover by just pulling it then 2 torx screws near the top corner of the car ie closest to the mirror, and one in the door pull then pull the car off from the door its fixed on with clips then lift it up off the seal and thats it :y:

should really search for this as its been covered a millione times

i had a quick search didn't get any joy, probobly searching the wrong thing, these are just upgrades from the original speakers, did consider components but thought it was too much work cutting into me door to get the tweeters in.

well you only have to drill a pilot hole then put a self tapping screw in mate or if you dont want to drill holes use some velcro :y:

yup, and the difference in the sound between coax's and comps is very noticable, get comps :)

Definately components. That's the way forwards.
If you've got around 90 quid to spare, I'd recommend some Boston S50's they're uprated components, tweeters and crossovers.
To fit the tweeters, you just have to drill a small hole in the door card where you're housing them and also 2 holes for mounting the crossover into the storage hole in the door (if that makes sense ;] )

i have my x overs reet behind the doorcard attached to the metal of the door, so there out of sight ;)

imo, they look a bit out of place in the door bins, but each to there own with placement :)

i wanted to do that too but my crossovers are too bloody big and the doorcard wouldnt go back on lol
