Smoked front lights and MOT

Hi guys,

I was thinking about spraying the chrome on the front lights (MK2) and smoking the glass.

Do you think this will fail on an MOT?

Can you smoke the glass. most people just spray the insert?

its illegal to smoke the lens you can only do the crome bit inside the light, but not the part used to reflect the light. I just passed my MOT with my smoked lights

Just put the lights in the oven to soften the glue up. They should come apart easily then.

Its meant to be pretty straight forward if in doubt:

thats where I got mine from, otherwise you just need primer and black spray paint, dont worry about lacquer as its protected inside the headlight
