Whats better to do, hand wash then wax polish etc or to jet wash and leather dry it?

Not sure whats safer, or better for the paintwork lol...

I love jet-washing! But having said that, I always use the lazy way - brush wash...!

Well some say about dirty Sponges and clothes could have shit in them and fine scratch the paintwork...

Jet wash doesnt really clean it, increases the chances of your tyres blowing out aswell apprently. Obviously its fun tho lol.

Jet wash the arches, but using shampoo and a wool wash mitt on the main body of the car is the way forward. Using a wash mitt means you dont scratch the paint as the dirt gets trapped inside the hair

Yeah, thats true. The roll-over brush wash can be just as bad, but I've never had serious probs with the roll-overs.

Ok, cheers Ben, most of the shit is in the arches, might push the boat out and get some tyre cleaner too

I did use the Jet Wash, but like Ben said it doesn't really clean it.

I usually just hand wash it and it's much better.

you mean water marks left once the water has dried on panels and glass?? if so id recommend claying the whole car and the glass

then a good polish and a wax to seal it for the windows i use what me mum uses for the house its called perma clear :y:

my wheels are metal polished paint stripped off, then i used a polishing kit (non ferrous) then some autosol metal polish

followed by poorboys wheel sealent :y:

Hand wash for me. Give it a good drying afterwards with a waffle weave towel. Job done.

Proper drying of the car afterwards is the key to not leaving water marks.
