If you already have an alarm then your not going to gain much bt getting another one fitted. Any alarm thats got remote start is not cat 1 approved.
By the look of the pic you have a mk1 Saxo. There not worth that much these dasy anyway. I would not throw money at it as you wil never get it back.

yh i know what your saying but if you mod any car it de-values it most of the time.

Gap are crap and expensive, really expensive. Phone up a local alarm installer. Many dont do cliffors because they are expensive and its hard to become a qualified installer. I would get a Toad i think they have an intellistart function.
You are looking around £600 for the alarm you want!!

i done the concept 950 with intellistart and window closing for £600 for tubbytommy on here last month. The aventguard 5.5 is the top of the range alarm that clifford do but you would be looking at around £1000 - £1200 fitted Guid price from clifford. i would do it for £800 fitted.
I would not recomend Gap as there fitters are on price work so they are in and out as quick as posible and dont do a good job at all. Clifford are great alarms as long as they are fitted properly.

Was it hard to become a qualified installer for them?

no you just have to know what you are doing. there are loads of people that say it easy as they have done 1 alarm on there own car, but it is not that easy. you have to know about most of the cars on the market, i say most as you can never know every car. its all about taking your time and not rushing and checking every wire you conect to, then solder each joint and insulate it. then comes the setting up that can take time aswell so when people say CLIFFORD ARE SHIT the alarm has just been lashed in and not setup properly.

Isn't intelistart illegal in this country?

I dont think its illigal but soome insurance companys are not keen on it.
I just dont see the point replacing an alarm with another one for the sake of it.

There was a clifford 650 already fitted by prev owner when I bought my 2000 Furio, I just reset it to factory settings, and reprogrammed it to my own specs, and it had been installed well, no loose wires etc and as a bonus its still under gtee til June 07, must be one of yours reevesy? The reciept was for £350 (Normally £500)

£350 is the right price if any 1 payed £500 they were done like a kipper. as the guid price is £350 - £400. i do the concept 650 for £300 fitted or £350 with window closing.
It is illegal to leave a car running on a public hiway with the owner not prescent, so it is ok to use the intellistart on your drive.;)
