bloody road tax i passed my mot yesterday and needed my tax renewed.got a tax letter in for renewal that told me 6months is £68.75.though ok i'l go pay it today only to find out its now £77 because of the last budget.whats all that about!

Guessing his is registered after March 2001 and thus is done on emmisions, not on engine size, hence it's cheaper

No probs. It goes up if you have a post 2001 VTS due to emmisions. £210 now

fcuk that! i didn't think the mk2 vtr/s changed over the few years they were produced, same exhausts n shite.... so the emmisions should be the same right?

Yes. But they only started to tasx on emmisions after March 2001. Anything before is on engine size. The VTS is in the top group, group F and gets a £210 a year fee. Last year they bought out an even higher group, G for all vehicles over 225g of co2 per kg and they're stung for £300 a year this year, going up to £400 a year next year. Piss taking? damn right

yep vtr bud and its a Y plate mot says it was register for approx first use on march 1st 2001

mines said £68.75(6months) and £125 (for a year) i ended up paying £77 for 6 months

it says in the letter u got, there may be changes due to budget, well it does on mine
