View Full Version : Help Removal Of Rear Brake Hub

Can someone please help my son as a saxo 1.1 i want to put new brake shoes on as he as just bought the car I took the wheel of but I dont know how to get to the hub nut it looks that the cap is moulded to the drum i have tried to knock it off but it dont.

need hub removal socket iirc but dont quote me on that lol

You need to get the dust cap off by using a flat blade screwdriver and a hammer. Then you will see a bolt, you need to get that off then use a hub puller to pull the outside of the drum off.
You will then need a new dust cap and bolt..

So does that mean you remove the drum from the back

its a cover mate, once off, you'll see the brake shoes inside
