Any one insured with admiral?
A friend of mine seems to think they pay out for mods?
I got a quote for 800quid!, but that was with alloys, induction kit, exhaust, grille, lights and audio equipment.
But im 21 with 3 years ncb, is that good? sounds expensive to me

my car was written off by admiral and i got to take off my mods providing i replaced it with standard, however saying that i took the whole exhaust off without replacing that.

these companies all have different policies so when you are getting a quote you need to ask if they do a like for like replacement of parts. Some companies (i know Liverpool victoria did) will replace parts with standard in the even of a claim.
Never assume as they seem to never really mention anything like this when you are signing up - it seems left to the small print

if a company was to pay out like for like, you insurance will probs be really high.

its a win loose situation mate. you tell them about mods and they charge you more for having them. anything happens and they replace with standard.

you dont tell them, then something happens and they wont pay out, bang your locked up for having no insurance lol

I got a quote with Admiral last week and when I told them that the car was lowered they said in an event of an accident, the suspension would get returned to standard.

It's daft really, you gotta declare mods to be insured but when you have a bump they only replace it with standard ones.
