Idle funny?

ok got a 1.1i desire 52 plate. got a green air filter on her with a peco back box. other night dropped my gf off and started 2 drive home. Came up 2 this junction which is on a small hill i stopped and put on the hand brake. the car suddenly shot from around 800 revz to 2000revz?????????? watz that all about lol it was slightly cold and my filter is open sooooooo any ideas???????

If it does it all the time mate it will be a coil pack or could be a dodgy sensor.

mine was doing this after i disconnected my battery for a while. i squirted a drip of gt85 (wd40) in the leads and some connectors and it seems to have cured my problem. but yeah could be coil pack or green coolant sensor

also could be the stepper motor, more than likely

i re-calibrated mine so it idles at 1100 and disconected it, no more stalling at junctions ;)

similar thing happened to me but it also started kangarooing now and again, turned out it was the manifold pressure sensor. when i touched the wires leading into it it stalled the engine, put a new one in and its sorted so far.
