Well the car deserved a wash today, so I thought I would do the lot and using everything I have in my cleaning bag.

Started about 10am and not long finished (nipped out for an hour too)

- Rinsed the car down
- Washed it using Meguiars Car Wash
- Rinsed off again
- Used my rubber thing to dry car (don't know the name)
- Dried off with Weave Towel
- Clean Alloys using Megs Alloy Wheel Cleaner
- Claybar the whole car
- Applied Polish and buffed up
- Did all bumpstrips/bumpers with Megs Trim Detailer
- Sprayed Megs Hot Tyre Shine
- Cleaned all windows inside and out
- Cleaned all interior

Here are all the pictures from today.

one question luke the rubber thing was it a hydro blade ????

Luke
21st April 2007, 23:12
Not sure what it is mate to be honest, I'll take a picture tomorrow for you.

It was £9.99 from Halfords, it's Turtle Wax. It's like what window cleaners use for getting excess water off the windows and leaves it streak free.

advice for you dont use them luke mate, ive used them for years, and found out they damage the paint like hell, there ok on windows, but tbh use a waffle weave all over the car, the hydro blades will glide grit along the paint work scratching it like hell (ive had a look at mine and there are straight line scratches off it) because the grit has no were to go so therefore gets held onto the edge of the blade

i know you may think all the grit is off the car but theres still bits left :y:

good good :y: waffle weaves absorb things like dirt etc, and you should was them every time you use them, i just put them on a hand wash cycle with no detergent

Baz
21st April 2007, 23:48
aye waffle weave towels are awesome, soak up the water like bounty kitchen roll lmao

Luke
21st April 2007, 23:48
Yeah, the weave towels are really good. I wish I had bought some months ago, but nevermind - still plenty of stuff to add to the cleaning bad.

Tell me about it Baz, Louises car looks like its been through the sahara desert.
