Im the owner of a v reg 99' vtr. I keep it very tidy and im not really into going all out and modding it. However i want to make a few modifications due to the fact ill be keeping the car for another year or so.
I want to fit a new suspension kit to it, just to improve the handling allot more. Im in the middle of modding the engine and i thought a new piece of kit could make the cars power shine allot more than the standard springs.
The suspension is totaly standard id just like some advice in what kit to buy and what i would actaully need to do this. Thanks

a good starter kit would set you back between £190-£250 for a full kit including spring, shockers and dampers.
then if you dont fit it yourself then an extra £100 ish to get it fitted
look at Apex, Bisten, Spax kits
you can pick just springs up for about £50 and then just pay for the springs fitting and toursion(sp) bar adjusting

well it depends on how low you want to go and how much money you have to spend
a full kit will be best but just springs will also do

the kit id go for is blistein shocks and eibach 30mm springs or custom springs
might be tad over budget though

I'd fit a Bilstein sprintline suspension kit with Ventura springs. Now the saxo kit appears to be a lot more money than the 106 Gti kit because it contains the Group N front shocks. The 106 one just has more road going shortened shocks which are plenty good enough for the saxo also. Lowers 40mm which is just about spot on really
The cost is just over your budget at £309 + delivery but its about as good as you can get for a road car. Eibach springs are better than the Ventura ones but pushes the price well out of your budget.
