Exhaust!

Hi peeps,

Started the car up this morning and it sounded like a tractor.

The noise was coming from nearer the engine than the rear, so

had a look underneath the car only to find that the exhaust pipe was

cracked just before it got to the first bulky bit (silencer i think).

In order to get this sorted, do i need a whole new exhaust, or just that

section of piping replacing?

If anyone has an estimate of prices aswell that would be awesome!

If its the down pipe which links the upper part of the manifold to the cat (I think would be the first box you should see) you may be able to sourch a second hand pipe.

Try www.eurocarparts.com and see what they list exhaust wise or try and find a decent exhaust fitted Not Kiwk-Fit or Hi-Q as they are just out to bodge the car back together and rip you off in the mean time.

Also take a wonder over to the regional section in the drop down menu labled forum jump and work out which one you come under then sign up and ask around as to wheather there is any decent exhaust fitters in your area.

you can just use some exhaust repair putty or a bandage for a quuick repair a suppose mate
