My friends saxo is having problems with its indicators. In the morning when he tries to use the indicators, they dont work, inside or out. The stick doesnt make a clicking sound when u put them on, and the lights dont come on inside or out. The hazard lights do not work either.
I dont know what could be wrong, as its ONLY in the morning, which seems strange to me. The headlights work, and they are on the same stick.
Any ideas would be very helpful, Rep Given for any good help :)

I cant explain why it only happens in the morning unless its a tempermental thing and just coincidental that he notices in the morning.
If the hazards wont work either then i doubt if its a problem with the stalk itself.
So it must be to do with wiring/earthing points?

as far as i know the hazard button works, but when its pressed it doesnt make the indicators come on. I think it must be something to do with the wiring, dont know what tho.

Sounds like a bad connection some where!
Have to check them all...

the hazard switch completes the circuit , its either that a fuse or in most cases the flasher relay :y:

i have the same problem, stalk is fine, flasher unit is fine, fuse is fine. Have been studying a wiring diagram and have norrowed it down to two wires and the hazard switch, first i will take off the hazard switch and bridge the wires that complete the circuit with a paperclip, if the indicators then work, it proves a duff hazard switch, if not then it could be one of teh two wires i narrowed it down to. On is a live feed from a joint to the stalk and the other is a live feed from a join to the hazard. I'll get the tester out tonight and solve it, then post my findings
