As I need to keep myself occupied and there's nowt left to do on the furio, and the new c2 is going to be left as standard, I asked the citroen dealer I'm getting the c2 off if they had a trade in car I could buy, one that was below standard and cheap, that I could repair and get running.
you know a cr*pper they wouldn't waste workshop time on, and they may have a Ax 95/6 reg for peanuts for me:y: If I can't get it in running order then scrap it, If I can get it up to standard sell it cheap to pay for spare parts.
Pity they hav'nt got a saxo;)

If you weant a tinkering toy for the summer, get a 205 GTi with high milegage mate. Will be lots of work to do, but a great outcome

will cost you more money to repair one than you would get money back from it.

I just want to bring it back to life, a bit of TLC, it could of been any car, I'm not going to mod it, I've got the tools and garage why not use them and enjoy my self.

id love to do that, but you may aswell get a car which will turn out a stunner like a 205 GTi, than an AX which is outdated

I have a look in the local Peugeot dealers on monday. most dealers have old trade-ins they want to get shot of,

Nice one. theres loads of high mileage ones abotu that with a bit of hard work could be returned to their former glory. Bit old now, but still one of the best looking cars on the road imo, aswell as performance

Before I got the furio I got a Clio 1.9d got it running, just had to do the br akes and sold it on to my neighbour for what I paid for it. so they had a school run car and I have the enjoyment of repairing and getting a car back on the road.:y:
Thats what it's about

Thats not the best colour they came in to be fair, but give me a black/red/white 205 GTi over any saxo. How can you not love this;

get some pics of it matt :y:
and ben, on that one, there's too much of the black. just makes it looks like a typical poor farmers car.. thats how ive always seen them.
the plastic on the boot, i dont like the 'corrigated' look either.

205 gets my vote. You can get one dirt cheap, turn it into a minter and your sorted

You only need space, I picked up a astra 1.6 with mot for £10 from a main dealer last year, no spares needed just a lot of TLC, passed it on to a lad for getting to work, he was strapped for cash, (apprentice) took £20 off him, for polish and oil. and had a ball working on the car:y:

205's are cool cars simple as that. turn back to when i was looking at buying a car before i got the rallye and it would be aa hard decision now not to buy a cheap 205 and use the money to get it into to top form.

205 1.9gti's are fantastic cars. All my mates have got them and given them the rally treatment. I would love to buy one and rally spec it just my saxo is costing an arm and a leg
