I've not sure what to do with my filler cap, whether to leave it silver, paint it black or colour code it blue.
Can someone help me?

I actually stole this pic from R085_VTS from here, so ask him where he got it matey.
Although you should just by one from good old Halfords and spray it black but remember to remove the screws before hand...lol
Oh you might be able to get one from Ebay, i do rememeber seeing one there.

I've got the original but really like this one but wanted to paint it... I'm going towards the black look as i've already got black front and rear lights, although i need to smoke the side repeaters.
Think i might just spray it black

The blue and black theme does look very nice but what difference will a black filler cap make because you already have the black side rub strips. I personally don't think it's worth the hassle. Also over time, the black will start to flake off and then you'll have to re-do it, etc...
Or... spray your original one black. They're so much better than any aftermarket cap. Less chance of being ripped off to as I heard a few of these filler caps have the same key?

I think i'm gonna just wing it and paint the damn thing.... if it looks crap, i'll pop my original one back on
Is there a special paint needed to paint an alloy cap?

If you are planning to paint make sure you give the metal cap a good once over with wet'n'dry before filler prima as your gona be handling the cap everytime you fill up with petrol so you want the finish to be as good as possible.
On your coloured car Id go for Black
