Coilovers only go on the front of the sax, wont affect the torsion bar at all

ok
but see if you were to adjust the height would it not jus adjust the height of the front?
no the front and rear suspension are completely independant

So if you were to lower the car more using the coilovers you would then need to jack the back up remove the torsion bars & reset them to match the front. Similarly if you were to raise the height on the coilovers the rear would still be low until you have the torsion bar done again.
One of the reasons u dont often see coilovers on cars with torsion bars.

Look at it this way
Front...........................Rear
Shocks.........................Shocks
Springs.......................Torsion Bars
A bit crew'd but basically most small French cars have noraml Shocks and Springs at the front but only have Shocks at the back. Torsion bars replace the need to have springs - abit low tech these days but they work well.
Suspension kits for Saxos and other French Hatches will be supplied with 4shocks and 2 springs. Unless you want the A-Team stance the torsion bars will have to be matched by a garage to be ideal as its not as easy as it sounds.
Hope that helps :y:

coilovers really can't be used as effectively on a car with a rear torsion bar. If your rear beam is serviced and recently stripped you actually could lower the beam pretty quickly but it would be a faff.
The only real way to solve this is to bin the torsionbars and get a turreted and coilovered rear, but thats a lot of money. I wouldnt recommend it on a pure road car though the handling benefits are very apparent, its well worth it for a track/race car where you will want to quickly set up ride height due to different track surfaces and weather conditions
