Sun roof rattle

Hi All:

Now the hot weather is here I am using my sun roof more. Problem I have is the thing rattles a lot when open, going over any bumps. Cant find anything lose and it is the same when either tilted or fully open. Car is a Mk 1 with manual roof. Anyone any idear what it could be ?:y:

have you checked the screws are all tight on the sunroof?

my vts does this mate, not sure what it is.
its a twat of a job to drop the roof lining and re-fit it correctly.
all of the screws that hold the sunroof in place are under the lining.

there are however 4 screws that you can just get to that hold the glass onto the rail, try checking them.

im sure the sliding cover is the part that rattles on mine??

just turn the radio up ;) LOL
