Pipercross connection

The connection at the main end of the air filter is really crap!!!! It had a thick rubber ring that i assume is supposed to make it a tighter fit. When i took it off to clean it the rubber thing had slipped down to the bottom of the inside of the air filter. Now i just can't get it back on, it's far too tight!!! Just don't know how to make it a tighter connection without using the rubber thing. It fell off whilst i was driving the otha day 'n' scared the S*IT out'a me!!!!!

Has n e body else had the same problem?

yes would help if you posted pics - have you thought about using a silicone hose to join it?

a had this troublw with mine mate put the rubber band half way on then slide the filter on it just make sure you put the julibeclip on first a didient lol

Sorry no pics @ the mo. It's just gone in for MOT, i'll put some on here wen i get it back!!!

PriceyVTR- I have allready tried this but i just couldn't get it on, it was far too tight!!!
