problem with alarm

o yes i have a small problem with my saxo vts its the alarm i am pretty certain it is a standard alarm the problem is :
the big button with central lock and alarm it which is fine the small one will un alarm and central lock it which is fine but the alarm itself is far to sensative going off whenever it wants to and i was wandering how i would get this fixed please :)
atm i am locking the car manualy and is just annoying hehe

Alright Mate, i currently have the same problem and i heard its pretty common problem on the standard vts alarm to do with the motion sensors located at the top of the A pillar. to overcome this at the moment before leaving your car press and hold the button located next to the hazzard warnin and rear screen button, once the red light illuminates lock your car as normal using the remote central locking. by doing this the motion sensors inside are turned off but it will stop the alarm from being a pain!!!

or you could just ditch the standard alarm haha. its up to you.

The alarm will still work if some1 actually opens the doors/bonnet. but say some1 broke the window and leans through i was led to believe it wouldn't go off. only if the doors are opened.

yea similiar to like it is now my bro tested he shook the car big time from the outside and did nothing only went off when he opened the door but the alarm still goes off when it wants tho
