have you tried hammering the inner arch where it is rubbing, mine used to catch so i had to hammer the area where it was rubbing to avoid this problem!!!

yea mate i dun this,im thinking of puting 5mm spacer on what u recon?i moved the water bottle forward coz it was rubbing and i knocked the back of the arch in coz thers a bit of metal that goes from the bottom right over the top and joins on the engine frame!

what offset are your alloys, if its only a slight rub and you cant hammer the area any more then try using a spacer shim 3-5mm. but check the offset first as you dont want the wheels sticking out or fouling on the plastic arches!!

lol - my alloys are 38 offset, and im using 19mm spacers= 19 offset. they do rub on full lock but dont really bother me. however my old 17`s were 15offset and i never had a problem at all with rubbing

3mm spacer shims allow you to use your existing bolts and aint that expensive - best thing to do is to take the wheels off to see where they are rubbing more as the inside arches are coated with a very thick sealant!!

i have the same problem, but mine isn't lowered (yet) and is rubbing on full lock like you said, but it's nearly burnt through the arch liner, what bits are left :p and the next thing is the radiator coolant pipe, in the driver's arch side.

any advise what i could do.

thanks lee.

EDIT: its a mk1 btw.
