i was bored last night and i tried my luck with getting insurance quotes for when the track car is finished. I wanted to trailer the car every where, but i filled in a quote with adrian flux.

1998 vtr with a turbo vts engine running 200bhp
uprated brakes
uprated suspension
stripped with roll cage, buckets and harnesses
only 1000 mile a annum with TPFT cover

they referd me and said they would be in touch.
just got an e-mail now
guess how much for........................................?????

£308.31

I nearly had a hart attack lol

thats mental, i wish i had phoned them for my mk2 vts now! :( lol

makes me think that i want to make it road legal now ;)

buying a trailer and renting a van to take it too and from track days and shows will probs cost more than getting it insured for a year :)

i will have to phone them to make sure that its a genuine quote, surely thats not right, i think they have put the decimal point in the wrong place lmbo

adrian flux are like that, shit for most young people but good for old people with the crazy engine mods.

try someone who actually insures competition cars, as you will also then be covered for all your track use and they will cover the car like for like. It may be even cheaper if the car is not used on the road.

will do mate cheers, i will defo look into that.

I was certain it would be mega bucks lol.
i defo thinking of making it road legal now :) just need to find a friendly mot tester ;) lol

Baz_saxo: i was in the same boat as you when i was younger, mine used to be sky high as i had a load of points when i first passed my test, thank god i have been a good boy and they are all off now ;)
this year is the 1st year i have started my own insurance, used to be with my dads.
I wish i had started my own years ago, would be so much better off now.
The mk2 VTS with mods costs me £680 fully comp with mods, its the NCD that stings me now :( would be alot cheaper if i had some NCD

I filled the form in on Adrian Flux and got quotes £300 Fully Comp. Phoned em cause it sounded too good to be true. They went through the quote and it ended up being £2000, good one

probs that low m8 as you will only be doing 1000 a year in it. more miles you do the more it cranks it up.
