my phone messed up last week after i dropped it so i decided to get a replacement but i needed to get the same phone (6630) as its used for work purposes. anyway i saw one on ebay advertised as unlocked so i bought it.
it arrived today, so i turnt it on and it came up with "PUK code required for sim" so i took the sim out and put my sim in and its asking for a "lock code". no codes or anything were with it and tried contacting the seller through a number but its disconnected, i have emailed them so hopefully get a reply but its jsut anoying having to go through all this when it should have been in full working order to start with. anyone know how to get a lock code?

we have a dodgy little corner shop round here that if you take it in to them and give them a tenner, you get your phone back accepting all kinds of sim's card etc lol.

Lock code will prob be for the phone as opposed to the sim. Sounds like its NOT actually unlocked at all. The idea being you input the lock code and it unlocks the phone to accept the sim you have put in.

yeah i have tried "0000" "00000" "1234" "12345" etc... whioch are the standard set ones. i am trying to put a O2 sim in it and its a o2 phone, aparently the lock code is a feature that is used to stop someone putting a sim in there phone so they cant access the info on the phone without the code, its set in the settings of the phone and it is not a network lock

i also paid for recorded next day delivery but it took 5 days and was jsut sent normally

leave negative feedback for them for messing you around

and to get your phone unlocked just go into town and go to a paki shop(not intending to be racist but i dont know what there called) and itll cost you £7-£10

steve the phone lock code is like a pin but for the phone, or the phone can be locked to the pervious sim card so it will need a lock code so u can use other ones

he has probs changed it they can vary from 4 digits to 8

ask the seller what it was mate

if you paid by paypal raise a dispute, and claim money back.
