is there anyone with a vts who has fitted aftermarket seats, or any other form of seats that dont have airbags in?

what did you do to get over the airbag warning light?

do you just loop the conection and fuse it?

cheers

Nothing. The light remains on.

I have a rallye steering wheel in mine, so no airbag.
And also have bucket seats.

what did you do to get over the airbag warning light?

Removed everything airbag related, wiring and control box. Light is gone now haha!

ive got a vtr but still kept my pretensioners connected. i still connected the tensioners to my seat belt and they work still work like usual. you can just leave the tensioners under the seat and just connect them if you still want your airbags to work!!

with the vts airbagged seats tho theres an extra 2 wires compared to just the one of the vtr.. i read summin on here a while back about disconnecting the wires under the dash to keep the light out but cant remember where..

so the only thing to do is to remove all airbag related parts?

is there no other way round it? i swear i read somewhere you can just loop the circuit, as i dont really want to get rid of the whole lot.

i think you can only loop the airbag in the steering wheel to stop the light coming on. i think you use a 5amp fuse and bridge it to fool the circuit!

take the LED out the dash, tape ove the light, disconnect the wiring behind/under the centre console or remove everything lol.

It wont pass an MOT with the light showing but it will pass the mot without a working airbag or seatbelt pretensioners as long as the warning light is not on.

so i'm guessing theres no way around it then, other than out with the bulb or similar.

That's bollocks.

you can just unplug the airbag ECU its under the carpet on the transmission tunnel, or i just taped it over from inside the dials with some insultation tape
