what is the best materal for my ice. People always start with wood but when it's finished it looks like plastic. and where do I get the materal from?

wood looking like plastic sounds odd.

Why not do a build with fibre glass? fibreglass from halfords or any motor factor

well as it was my first go over , i used mdf to build a frame , i made a coffin to sink the amp's and run the wire's ect , i then used sheet's of ply to shape it .
i then placed material over the sheet's of ply to finish it off .

scott i was wondering about the pro's n con's of equaliser's , as im running quite a few channel's smileys/smiley5.gif i was wondering would it be nessecary to use one ? any recomendation's ?

Alex19: go to b&Q or focus do it all and you can get sheets of plywood mdf, hdf etc...

Dannsax: you could go for a seperate equalizer but hell of a lot of setting up to do on them but worthwhile in the long term i suppose. You should have EQ settings to play about on the head unit and amp itself. Have a play with them and see how you like the sound
