alarm again

got my standard alarm working. but now it goes off at random times (usually when its raining) no reason i can sit and watch it and nothing will happen then it will go off for no reason... any ideas?

have you tried turning off the motion sensor for the interior,its the button to the left of the hazard button,press and hold it for 3 seconds should stop the alarm going off for no reason,this is what i do anyway

Do as Simon says. That will then tell you if its the sensors that are triggering the alarm to sound. If you disable the interior sensors and it's still going off, then I'd check the small plastic bonnet catch because that (believe it or not) is also connected to the alarm and if the catch is snapped, then the alarm thinks somebody is trying to access the car via the bonnet, thus sounding the alarm.

Btw, when you say "standard alarm", you are talking about the "factory alarm" and not the standard one that came with the car, which "might be" an aftermarket one?
