Pad/disc overlap with big brake conv

just fitted my big brake conv and the edge of the pads overlap the disc by about 3-4mm. Is this normal, I don't see I could get the caliper to sit any closer to the disc as the mounting bracket would be catching, there is only a couple of mm clearance there. Any help?

BTW it is the Goat bracket with Maxtorq discs.

Do you mean not all of the pad will be touching the disc??



ie, it will wear away leaving a thick chunk of pad in one area??

Just the very outer edge of the pad, simon. Like I say, the kit seems to fit OK every where else, but certainly couldn't be much closer to the outside edge of the disc otherwise it would be catching and rubbing between the disc and the caliper carrier. There is about 3mm or so of psd overhanging the edge of the disc which won't be used in braking.
