Right, first off all, i wasn't sure where to put this, here or "general event info", if it belongs somewhere else, sorry.

Just a quick thought. I have the Sunday off this weekend (rare occurrence) and thought about going to see this:

Here's the question, when you get a ticket do you get allocated a space to go or does it allow you to get in and go anywhere around the spectators areas?
Just wondering because I've not been before and I would love to take my camera and practice some panning shots.

Thanks.

i'm guessing it will be the same as any other event there. its an open spectator circuit & you can sit where you want. would have to pay extra if you want a seat in the grandstand though.

its always been that way since i've been going for 6-7years anyway

its only the big events that the grandstands are not open to everyone like touring cars and probably DTM and world superbikes

Do you think it would be possible to get quite close to the track to get decent shots? do many people stand right by the barriers?

theres a couple of spots that you can get really close mate. me & my mates sit really close where we are. its all about how much of the action you want to see, or whether you want to take in one cracking corner.

nothing stopping you moving around all day either
