ive got a saxo pahse 2 vtr.
i got an ecotec valve for it about 3weeks ago.
ive been keepin track of my millage and filling, and ive worked it out to be
43.9MPG!!! (british gallon)
ive been driving normally, and the onli fuel saving ive done is coasting
i do 50miles motorway per tank (ish)
amazing...
i defo recomend the ecotec valve!

rofl load of rubbish. my vtr returned better than that standard.
coasting uses more fuel than slowing down through the gears

i get that driving normally and hammering it now and then mate (20 min sessions on the stage every few days ;))
Also if its a 98bhp vtr that is the standard mpg if drive it normally according to parkers.

VTR's 5th gear is an overdrive which is bloody helpful in getting some impressive figures. nice one if you actually got that figure :)

Granted, luke was leading the convoy doing 60 for most of the way. 5th gear from france all the way to germany. ;) and a bit of a trashing session on the Autobahn

i get about 300-330 out of a tank on my 99 Mk1 VTR
In true Citroen styleeeee i get 200 out of the first "half tank" and then 100-130 out of the second "half tank"

do you leave the engine running when you go dogging?
Will be using fuel and not adding miles mate.

Sounds like you get similar to me Leckie.
I drove from Bradford - London and back again all on one tank of petrol, plus did another 70 mile once I got back - 477 miles in total.
