Been meaning to get pics up of this for a long time but just got around to it!

I haven't owned a single car that I haven't modified in one way or another, this being one of my personal favourites.

It started life as a bog standard Ford Escort RS2000 4x4 (one of only 127 left registered in the UK, and only 500 produced), and I started by just tinting the windows and having the original alloys powder coated black.

I then went all out on the bodywork when the rust started to show it's ugly little face! Off came the spoiler, handles, locks and anything that could have been smoothed was! I also lowered the suspension and added the Khan RSRs that were previously on my girlfriends VTR!!!

I started to have a few probs with it after a while - one of which was dodgy solenoids on the doors which meant that sometimes it took me a while to get in - so I started to look for a 306 GTi6 but came across my saxo as you see it in the last pic!

i dont really like escorts but yours was very nice, love the smooth look - but i think the lexus lights spoilt it. nice car tho!!

Agree with you on the lexus lights but they were the only aftermarket ones available at the time - I actually wanted clear ones and the standard ones looked totally out of place on there after I'd had all the work done

You would not appreciate how much work went into getting the lines on the doors to line up properly. Went from being a 2 week job to being a 10 week job!

It was loved - and hated when it started to go tits up! Don't regret all the problems with it though because it led to me buying the vts!
