Ive been thinking about getting a full re-spray on my car for a while now and my mate has just bought his own garage and said he would do the work for me, ive been looking on the house of kolour website and some of the colours look amazing, what ever colour i choose im wanting metal flake over the top, obviously will be changing my wheels when its done as it will be a bit too much having glittery wheels aswell, just want to know what colour you's like and what you's think i should go for as i cant make my mind up :p

also ive been looking for a colour chart but cant seem to find one

if you go for house of colour you need a show car i.e bodykit.

whys that?

Karl

i think he means, if you have a loud colour, you need a loud looking car.

BENSAX3
14th May 2007, 09:37
yeah thats what i ment. are you going for a loud colour like the pink or more subtle. i assumed that you wanted a loud colour

xclairex

i think he means, if you have a loud colour, you need a loud looking car.

if thats what he means i dont agree with him, just because my car isnt screaming "look at my huge bling bodykit" means that i cant have it a nice colour

xclairex
14th May 2007, 09:39
i like the colour pink but wouldnt have it as it stands out too much, anyone remember that saxo on ebay a while ago which was an orangy colour on the top and black on the bottom? anyone know what the colour is called

Karl

what would you do with your wheels, i think something that is black and chrome would work well, like some wolfrace street octanes

xclairex
14th May 2007, 10:34

Jungle_Jim
14th May 2007, 10:44
thats ok hun

have you thought about a carbon fibre bonnet, i know this 350z isnt quite the right colour but i still think it would work well on the colour your after,

OTT if your not show car spec imo.

That car has been up for sale for ages... i think he listed the colour as being 'sunburnt orange' or something like that...
Nice colour though :y:

I disagree with the loud colour requiring a bodykit etc. look at fiesta ST's for example... bright orange out the factory.. and they look hot...

I wouldn't go with that pink though im afraid... not really to my taste... if i was to go for a respray i think id end up getting a subtle two tone, so the paint isn't lary, but it's obviously not standard...

furioAL
14th May 2007, 12:02
I didnt mean you should do that colour.. i just like the idea of a subtle two tone... what about a blue/purple two tone - it's a bit more girly? Have a look in the yourcars section for some different examples....

The orange is nice though :)

candy apple red with a flake in it or borwn with a gold flake in it

Jungle_Jim
14th May 2007, 12:03
look at fiesta ST's

you mean the focus st. :homme:

i think your good not to go with pink, as if you do come to sell your car it will narrow down the potential buyers alot

What about a light subtle pink like in your sig? You could add metal flake to it for that extra bit of edge?

Karl
14th May 2007, 12:40
Candy red saxo is the sh**!! Love it.

xclairex
14th May 2007, 12:41
its a good idea Kelly but i think if i was going pink it would have to be a "in your face" pink, theres a punto near mine thats not far off the colour in my sig and im not 2 keen

Might be worth investing in a house of kolor catalogue. Cost about £20 I think cos my Uncle bought one a while back. Silly sod chucked it after he bought his paint though.

Be 100% sure what colour you want though because you might regret it otherwise.

defo 100% agree
