Which are the best rear lights?

I have a posi blue VTR MK2 and I turned the rear badges black today and I think the darker lights of the MK1 may suit it better now, but im unsure so would like your opinions, the lights are still silver standard at the front and will be staying that way.

Which look better on a saxo MK1 lights or the MK2 lights?

All depends on the style of the saxo mate. I like them both

mk2 look more crisp but the mk1 have the smoked effect, id have to say the mk2s :y:

Mk2s in my opinion, they just seem to suit the newer model better i think. Mk1 lights have an older look about 'em.

If you can get hold of both sets cheaply from either breakers or eBay then do.

This way it gives you the choice of changing at any given time, if your tastes change or you just fancy something abit different one day after washing the car.

Ultra Smoked Jewls are probally the best/popular aftermarket lights, most other rears just look tacky.

One last option is to find Ultra Clear items and tint the Red lower section to produce a ///M3 look with a better finish than the OE Phase2 items.

Ive got both Ultra Smoked and my OE Phase2 rears and funny enough Ive just gone back to my OE lights.

Theres two shades of MK1 lights btw, Natlie on here posted it up before.

Early mk1s, with the slat grille, had very very dark rear lights. You can hardly see the white strip.

Later MK1s, smiley grille, had a lighter tint to em.



I think the MK1s look ok on silver or icelandic saoxs, but the ultra smoked, M style as said above or the oem mk2 ones are best for posi blue

I think alot depends on the colour of the car and maybe what colour headlights you have - Smoked or Silver.
