HELP! - Dim Dials?

Hi people. The dials in my car have gone very dim, so dim that I can't really see what speed I'm doing at night. :n:
My little "service spanner" came on about a week ago, could it have anything to do with that or is it more likely that a bulb has blown behind the dials?
Any help much appreciated! :y:

There is a button to the left try pressing that! It dims them.

ye or below the steering wheel on the trim there is a little roller wheel sort of thing, you roll it either way to dim or brighten the lights.

I think that that roller alters the angle the headlights are set at, you use it if you have alot of weight in the back!

theres 2 different rollers. the dash lights is usuall below the steering wheel on the casing.

What have you got MK2 or 1? He has a MK2 like me and i only have the headlight angle adjuster!

the headlight adjusters are on the bottom of the dash on both mk1 and mk2

the knob on the right of the dials adjusts the lights on the dials just keep pressing it till it brightens

wait til its dark tonight then press the button on speedo til it brightens the dash lights up or down...... simple
