Right then i have a saxo vtr mk2 its gone tits up! i have stripped it right back and have discovered the sparks are good compression good fuel.... nothing! there is no power to the pump in the tank. I removed the pump, bench tested it and its good. i have checked the crash fuel cut off switch and that is also good! I gave the pump an external power feed from an amp could here the pump running and there was pressure at the fuel rail. so i turned the key and still no fuel from the injectors!

Basics: what is stopping my little beast squirting fuel into its own little power plant?
and how can i over come this? please help me as i hate paying Dick Terpin and his band of Citroen dealers!!

get a bucket and disconnect the pipe in the engine. When you power the pump fuel should flow (very fast) out the pipe. If not your pump is knackered

you tried the fuse mate, its in the engine bay, theres a fuse guide just do a search or use yor user manual

tested pump it is fine. there is no electricity flowing down the wires into it. the fuel gauge is and is reading accuratly. oh yeah and the fuse is fine.

i keep thinking something is telling it not to work like the immobiliser perhaps!?
that must be on the fuel system isn't it?

because even when i had the pump working with a different power sauce it wasn't injecting so what tells it to inject or not to inject? that is the question

ok if you are getting fuel to the injectors then its electrical or the injectors are blocked. As no fuel is getting to the cylinders then I would bet money on the injector electrics are kapput as they are not firing.

mmm ! can't see them all blocking at once, and the injectors are obviously not beeing told to inject there is no visible wire damage tho. The injectors are laying on my cam cover wired up and plugged to the fuel so i can see if they spray or not. injector wiring could well be kapput but what do they have in common with the fuel pump?
( i have a feeling citroen could get richer and i could get very very poor!)

probably another relay or fuse - try all the relays as one could be dead and not allowing the fuelling system to work

the fuel pump is on a single fuse in the engine bay mate heres the fuse diagrams :y:

the relay for fuelling system is under the ECU

so similar to the 205 then. tachymetric relay issue possibly!
You really need a proper wiring guide as this will tell you how many relays affect the fueling and ignition system. Don't know if there is any on the web though a good haynes manual has them

yeah mate a haynes manual is very very handy :y: has helped me out so many times, i think i got it on ebay for about ten pound delivered :)
