battery light on

hi everbody, ive just bought a new battery, new alternator and belt and my battery light is stil on, can anybody help. someone told me to do a BODGIFICATION under the steering rack, bridge 2 wires but iv done that and it stil stays on.

i also dont have any powersteering

make sure the terminals are on tight, and also the belt on the alternator is at the correct tightness

also make sure the plates on the battery are covered with water, but only just not right to the top

the battery teminals are tight, so is the belt and would of fort that a brand new battery would be ok???
