not wanting to be nosey but just wondered if anyone else has had an accident and lost NCB?? and if so how much did it put your insurance up by??

depends on age car area etc... so noone is the same .... :O

As above... it varies.

If you're involved in an accident that is your fault, then you will loose two years NCB (if they're not protected). The additional premium is also worked out on how much damage was done and the cost of it because they'll need to work out how to get their money back.

I have a claim in against somebody else just now and because of this my 3 years no claims have been frozen! So when getting quotes I've had to say I have nil years no claims and quotes from elephant and bell have only been £100 more expensive. But as above, it will depend on various things.

makes a BIGGG DIFFERENCE,

i been driving for a year insurance over that year on a seat 1.4 nova1.5 suzuki baleno 1.6 for tpft all cost between 1400-1650, got a year no claims got me self a nice group 15insurance 2litre, insurance was only 900 tpft, got got set on fire, i now have a vtr what group 7 or something and ftpft is 950

You "should" be able to give the new companies the 3 years NCB because there's no way of them finding out you have 0 unless they asked for proof of NCB, which you obviously wouldn't do atm if you have a pending claim.
