Door Squeak

My passenger door squeaks when opening and closing, sprayed loads of WD40 on it, all over the hinges and the other bit that goes into the door lol whatever its called. still squeaking
anyone know how to solve it

think you need white grease on the hinges mate, is it catching on the wing??

There should be two bolts attached to a folding arm where the hinges are. Do them up as tight as they will go and this should sort the problem. :y:

Yeh I tightened mine up today cause it was getting really bad. They keep coming loose though over time..................... :n:

you used some threadlock on them??

get something a bit thicker than WD40 on them! sorted my squeaky doors out a treat! i used some grease and just put it on carefully with my fingers.

i think its something lube cant fix lol it sounds like its comeing from that folding arm thing.ill have a go tightening the bolts, its not catching anywhere jus gives a nasty lil squeak at a certain point when ya close or open the door.

I had this, turned out the check straps were buggered. They guy who serviced my car sorted them out for me with a bit of welding, but you can just replace them
