Please Help

when im sitti at traffic lights with no feet on any pedal, the revs sort of move about a little bit, and also quite frequently a fan comes on in the engine(alternator?. It has had a new alternator and was jus wonderin if any of the 2 things i have mentioned are faults or what. Please help me. Thanks

is the fan coming on when the engine is hot? i.e. is the needle beginning to move above halfway or higher than it normally sits and then the fan comes on? if so its normal

Also, my car's revs are moving up and down all the time and are never stable. think it's just the french engine's fella. Th efan is an often occurence and my needle sits at three quarters all the time.

Turn off the engine and leave for like half an hour and then check your water level, it's always worth a lookie!!!

thats normal for the fan to come on then.

When you say the revs move about a bit, do you mean the bounce erractically up and down like almost about to stall or do they just drop a little when the fan kicks in?

no they sorta kik a little bit but not like about to stall, but makes the car shake a little? What is causin this?
