Gear Changing Is Stiff, since had car lowered its stiff when i change gear :panic:

Is this my gear linkages fucked? gets worse during long journeys ok if pottering around for 30 mins.

Sometimes when changing gears the gearstick makes a squeeking noise :homme:

There was a thread on here cant find it where someone lubed something up :p

could be a bent linkage, lowering wont have made any difference as the mechanism doesnt move, possibly something has caught one when driving etc. or the bushes have worn, also check the selector fork at the front (Where the linkages join on to)

Mate i had the same problem when i bought my pug

Its a metal plate thats bolted onto the bulkhead that moves back and forward. It costs 25 for citroen and takes about 10 mins to fit

Get the gym lad!!

Seriosuly though I had the same problem. Replaced the selector rods at the front. Also gearbox oil may help. My sincro is fucked to so that doesn't help matters.

The fact it gests worse on long journys could mean its the bearings inside the box.
