i bought these off ebay link:

Im not sure on MK1s, but i know for sure they dont fit MK2s. Theyre plcc LEDs.

lol, i knew it, haha, i took it all to bits which took me forever, i will have to get them mini led's from maplins n solder new ones on

how do these work then mate? is any soldering required? dont feel confident enough for that, haha

Yeah, its taking apart a lot of fiddly bits from the dash, and then some very delcate soldering. Its easy if you take your time, but i recon you ned a whole day to do it properly if your not a whizz with the soldering iron.

Id say first time you do it, an hour minimu to get the dials out carefully, 4-5 hours for soldering the leds, 30 mins for re fitting.

The time, burns, blood and tears are really worth it because they look great when you've finished :)

there pretty easy to do if you have patience and a steady hand

you will need a soldering iron, solder, and some tweezers also a piece of paper to make not of which way the led was, positive side on the plcc2 smd leds are determined with a bit chopped off the corner :y:

its also best to keep testing the led each time you put one in, just connect it up and turn the sidelights on

probablies take a good few hours as there quite fiddly

have the mk1's got a 'twist and pull' behind the dash?or are they the same as mk2's?

on mk1s the bulbs are twist and pull mate, thats what the haynes says anyway :)
