Picked up my W reg vts yesterday and i am very happy with it but i have a problem already. Sometimes when i have stopped there is water coming out of the little hole near the expansion cap. i took the cap off and there was all gunk in it so i cleaned it off and put it back on but to no avail. Just wondering weather there was anything else i should look at

Cheers Ben

either you have an air lock in the water system or your head gasket has blown, run the car up to temp with the top off your expansion tank,if its an air lock it'll clear if not it will continue too spill out.also check your thermostat, could be stuck!hope this helps:y:

open the oil cap and look under here.if the same gunky shit is in there aswel then ul looking at the headgasket has gone! and that aint really cheap.anothing thing you can do is at the other end of the radiator there is a bleed valve where you can let the air out of the radiator.best thing to do is drain the system and bleed it with the valve open to get rid of any air in the system if is still persists after a day go get the head pressure tested the you will no for sure.
