Going to be fitting my billies tomorrow, the rear's i know how to do etc, but the fronts i have a question about..

I read in the haynes manual that i need the following..

2x Driveshaft nuts
2x Track rod balljoint nuts
2x Lower arm balljoint clamp bolts

Are these the only extra things i need?

Cheers, james

yes and you need to mind your fingers if using spring clamps!

to remove the strut.

jack car up. remove wheel, remove driveshaft nut, remove bolt securing lower ball joint, break ball joint using a bar, remove the drop link bolts (may need grinding off!! check in the theread for the allen key point as it stops the tread spinning, then remove the track rod end from the strut ( may need ball joint seperator) then remove the brakes from the strut and cable tie them up to the shell/put them on something like bricks so there is no strain on the brake lines.

get someone to hold the strut and undo the top 3 bolts.

Wicked!! Cheers ryan.

Much simpler than the haynes manual makes it sound! lol.

I have a ball joint seperator so no worries there. Going to get the bits together asap and crack on i think depending on the weather! :panic:

i didnt use a haynes manual had never removed suspension in my life, on my tack car did it piece of piss! ok the driveshafts were not in but theyre not bad to remove anyway!

the ball joint seperator is perfect for track rod ends it will make a nice pop.
