Rite,

Im having some problems with insurance quotes, so far the cheapest quote I have found for a 1.1 saxo with 5drs is £2250!!!!! Yes this is fully comp, as I will not settle for anything else..

I cant afford this! I will have 1yr's no claims as well because I have a scooter smileys/smiley4.gif hehe!

Also the most annoying thing is filling it all out, say taking 45mins, clicking go, and it says u have to be 17, or that you have not got the price that the car is worth rite!

ARGH!
Help please...

woah!!!! boys. im 27 and my insurance (fully comp i might add) and 0 claims, is £525.
What i usuall do when im going for quotes is run through the yellow pages then choose at least 6.
Phone the first one and get a quote, then do the same to the second but tell them you have had a better offer somewhere else and ask them to try beat it (make the one they gave you about 20 cheaper).
dont tell them what insurance company gave you the quote and get a referance number or code from them and tell them you will phone back the same day.
9 out of ten times they try there best to get your money from your pocket.
try and see mate,

Parents insurance is the way to go for a while untill you have a big full time job. It doeen't get you on teh ladder, but will enable you to save up a little bit.

I'm 24, saxo vtr with engine and styling mods, paid 538 this year with tesco, lots of benefits, but my excess (how much you have top pay if yyou crash before they start to shell out ) is 400. £1000 Stereo cover, free car (not according to availiability) With Tesco.

When i was 18 CIS were the best insurers i found, and good customer service. Performance direct are good quotes, but not good on teh paper work front. it's been a month and i'm still waiting for my proof of 3yrs no claim bonus.

One question, have heard peeps talking about PROTECTED no claims, none of teh companies have offered me that. HOW????
