Who has the lowest Saxo? Any pics?

What problems will you encounter at 80mm on some 15"s?

What will it handle like, obviously not as good as if it was 40mm, but surely must still be like a go kart?

I lowered my old vtr by around 75mm on the rear and it did handle like a go-kart in the dry but shit in the wet, apart from that it was fine i didn't have no scrubbage or anything like that and that was on 15's as well!

Leckie was down 80mm on 15's, he never got any problems. Your back end will be happy though..

So in theory you could lower a VTS 80mm (what are the options, any links to 80mm springs for the front?) and you wouldn't have a single problem?

firstly mate, try posting in the correct section ;)

Problems:
- 80mm can only be achieved properly by coilovers! which are lots and lots and lots of dosh!
- you will get over VERY FEW if ANY speed bumps without scraping the arse off your car, and possibly damaging your sump!
- it will look pants
- it will handle like its on banana skins

The lowest you can go on the front with just springs is 60mm i'm affraid mate unless your going to go for coilovers!

60 mm (in my view) is a happy medium between wanting to look like your on your arse but still retaining some handling and practicality.

I'd recommend shortened shocks on anything lower than 40mm.

at 80mm your suspension geometry will be out. Won't corner as well or cope with ruts, bumps and camber changes.

dont see why people go lower at the back, its higher on standard suspension for a reason, so if your going down 60 at the front put the rear down to about 60 too :)

me in my 1.1 versus any vtr or vts lowered 80mm or more round a tight track and I'd win hands down..


80mm would only be for looks for some, in my opinion I hate cars lowered too much..
