Hello,

My speedo isnt working and ran the diagnostics to reveal the sensor by the gearbox is fooked. Had to take into Citroen as it appears to be a gen only part, however they have said the loom is knackered as water has got in and eroded all the loom - hence the sensor is now faulty. They quoted me £413 for a new loom and basically told me not to bother with it. Does anyone know where I can get a loom from? Is there just one loom ? Mine is a 2003 52plate Saxo Furio 1.4.

Any help appreciated as I cant afford £413 + cost of sensor + MOT + Tax + Labour costs all in one go :panic:

Well i thought that but they reckon that the sensor wont work because the loom is so badly corroded. Im considering driving into a wheel or torching it :afro: lol

Hi!,
just been reading your thread, I too have a speedo that is not working!
I have tried the battery disconnection, and have just replaced the sensor on my 1.1 SX (getting the old one out was a bugger it was stuck solid). Quick try around the block, and it still doesn't work. Is the loom the next step?

how did you check it all to find out it was the censor that was the problem, i ask because i've got the same problem.
