A decent Gym in west yorkshire

Near my work there is an esporta gym but they charge £54 a month :panic:
and i aint payin that, i was just wondering if anyone knows of any in the area. Really want to get into the gym, been doin free weights at home but im sure i will gain more at a gym?

Fitness First... thats were i go. Not bad but gets busy on evenings around 6-7.

Has decent equipment & is always clean, also has a studio with a couple of punch bags, skippin ropes etc in.


Theres loads of different rates etc but you can haggle the prices down as there always wanting members...

To be honest mate I thought you were more of the spit and sawdust type! haha not fitness first! lol. Nice though cos they have saunas and fitness classes too in there. Just a bit expensive business man type gyms in my opinion.

dont know around your area but fitness first down these ways are full of the wannabes that stand infront of the mirror whilst working out, slowly so they can watch them self. full of pricks tbh. its hard to find a decent gym round here, the other one is full of paedophiles...

How far you willing to travel Andy?

There is a few gyms around our area. There is Greens (Shipley tho), Cannons (few all over), JJB one at Showcase and like you say Esporta one - I thought we got discount for working at Morrisons?

Not sure of any others at the moment though.

try virgin active, they do like an off peak membership for like £35pcm or mine i pay £40pcm and go whenver i like, the only downside is that im tied for 12 months. the off-peak is a month to month thingy.

22 quid a month ;) - Im far from spit & dust, sweat & tears - Cant go wrong, but if it ever goes up ill just cancel it. My contract was a year, nearly 3 years ago. Only started going proper this past year.

Ther is tops fitness on leeds road, just had a refurb. Nice gym decent people but a bit small so if your wanting to go peak times it will do ya nut in.
